CLIMATE

The basic parameters of the climate from the vines’ point of view are: the average length of the growing season and SAT or GDDC. The cracking of the buds is considered the beginning of the growing of the vine. The sum of the active SAT (GDDC) temperatures shows the cumulative amount of heat during the growing season of the vine.

The municipality of Racławice is characterized by the average length of the growing season of 165-170 days, and the GDDC is within the limit of 850 °C – 875°C. However, it must be remembered that specific locations can have much better thermal conditions than the average for a given area, as in the case of my vineyard.
